This site is owned and operated by John Berry, the one in Lewiston, Maine. Well, one of the ones in Lewiston, Maine. I am a disabled person. I have a damaged sciatic nerve that causes constant pain and some odd happenings (like falling down). After many years I am slowly learning to deal with being disabled.
Part of my coping involves volunteering as a Chaplain at Central Maine Medical Center. Helping others helps me.
I have been married for 20 years (as of September 8, 2009). Jean is an amazing person. She is smart and caring and for some odd reason really loves me. I love her madly and cannot imagine life without her. She has cared for me and endured much as I have dealt with my back-pain.
Jean and I take frequent walks and take many pictures on our walks (Thank God for digital cameras). We see different things and are constantly at each-others perspective.
A frequent subject of our photos is our new dog – Angie. Angie is our anniversary gift to each other. We wanted to get something special and began by talking about furniture. It would be practical to get a new bedroom or livingroom set. But, for some reason, we started talking about a dog and, after Jean did a lot of research, we decided on a small dog.
Angie is a Yorkie, Poodle , Shih-tzu mix. Her mother was about 4 pounds full-grown and at 7 months Angie is 3.5 pounds. She is a wonderful dog and we are very happy that we chose her over a new sofa and easy chairs.
